8. Conclusion

This practical building approach to the complex phenomenon of water vapour migration through "a single wall" is not exhaustive for all walls.

The study must be carried out on a case-by-case basis.

Nevertheless, once the pathological diagnosis has been made, one or more repair solutions can be envisaged, assuming, of course, that the work is carried out in accordance with the rules of the trade. A hygrothermal study should demonstrate and confirm (before any work is started) whether or not the solution envisaged is likely to achieve the objective set.

By changing a few parameters, this process can be repeated for other walls, whether vertical or horizontal, opaque or glazed, and with different climatic conditions.
