2. Accidental causes

This category includes unforeseeable, and therefore by definition unforeseen, actions during the life of the construction.

2.1 Excessive normal actions

These are actions that are foreseen in the use of the construction, but whose amplitude exceeds the values for which it was designed. Examples include :

  • cyclones, resulting in wind speeds exceeding those of the exceptional wind provided for in the Rules for Snow and Wind (article Rules for Snow and Wind NV65 [C 3 305]...
