7. General conditions of use and storage of handling aids
7.1 Accessories
The accessories used must be of appropriate strength. Do not bend accessories excessively:
protect sharp corners with protective bags or brackets (figure 36 );
fit cable loops with cable lugs ;
never tie chains, ropes or cables;
Tie the ends of cables and ropes to prevent strands from unravelling;
ensure protection against fire, heat, corrosive products, cement for natural-fiber ropes and moisture for synthetic-fiber ropes;
contact the manufacturer for repairs....
