2. Easement classification

It is customary to distinguish servitudes according to certain characteristics. These distinctions are particularly important in determining the existence of the thirty-year prescription period. For example, servitudes may be urban or rural, continuous or discontinuous, apparent or non-apparent, or active or passive.
