5.1.1 Boiler safety

Hot water or steam boilers equipped with burners must be fitted with devices designed to automatically stop the burner if the temperature or pressure is exceeded; steam boilers must also be fitted with a device to indicate lack of water. Restarting after such a shutdown, however long it lasts, must be possible only by direct intervention by personnel at the equipment location.

Heating equipment using liquid or gaseous fuels must be automatic....
