6. Smoke extraction in enclosed horizontal corridors and halls accessible to the public (DF 6)

In the case of enclosed horizontal corridors with natural or mechanical smoke extraction, there is no obligation in the following cases:

  • corridors with a total length of more than 30 m ;

  • corridors served by pressurized staircases;

  • corridors serving sleeping areas ;

  • basement circulation.

Halls are considered to be corridors (section 9.1 of article [TBA 3 002] ). They are cleared of smoke under the conditions laid down...
