2. Independence of volumes located within the right-of-way of a high-rise building

2.1 Location (article GH 67)

In accordance with the provisions of article R. 122-2 of the Code de la construction et de l'habitation, volumes located in the lower part of the building which meet the conditions of independence and safety measures set out in the present section are not considered to be part of the building.

These volumes may include establishments open to the public (ERP) as defined in article R. 123-2 of the French Construction and Housing Code, if they are built over three consecutive levels, one of which must be an access level for public fire and rescue service vehicles.
