3. Facades and roofs

3.1 General information on facades (article GH 12)

Facades are designed and built to limit the spread of fire from one compartment to another:

  • by the junctions of facades with structures and walls at the compartment boundaries;

  • from the outside.

Load-bearing facades or parts of facades are fire-resistant to 2 h or R120.

The compliance of facades with the regulatory provisions of articles GH 12 and GH 13 is certified by the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment, Efectis France or any other laboratory recognized as competent by the Central Safety Commission.
