1.1 Access roads for fire-fighting vehicles (article GH 6)

1. Building exits on levels accessible to public fire-fighting and rescue service equipment may not be more than 30 m from a road open to traffic at both ends and allowing the movement and parking of such equipment.

2. On these roads, a pathway meeting the following minimum requirements is permanently reserved for firefighters:

  • clear height of 3.50 m ;

  • roadway width, excluding parking lanes, of 3.50 m ;

  • load-bearing capacity of 160 kN calculated for one vehicle with a maximum of 90 kN per axle, the axles being at least 3.60 m apart;
