2. Terminology

In addition to the definitions given in article GH 3 (§ 1.3 of [TBA 3 050] ), the following terminology should be borne in mind:

  • calorific value of a combustible material: heat release in MJ (Mega Joule) of one kilogram of material upon complete combustion (expressed in MJ/kg);

  • heat load by volume: defined for practical purposes, corresponds to the heat load of a material, product or system per unit volume (expressed in MJ/m 3 );
