6. Information search

There are various preventive information tools available:

• at national level, the "georisques.gouv.fr", "bdhi.fr" and "reperesdecrues.developpement-durable.gouv.fr" websites provide public access to cartographic and historical information on floods;

• at departmental level, prefects draw up and distribute dossiers départementaux des risques majeurs (DDRM - departmental files on major risks), which list all the risks in the department and the municipalities concerned;

• at municipal level, the mayor is responsible for the municipal information document on major risks (DICRIM), safety instructions and, for municipalities covered by a PPR, for organizing an information meeting every 6 years.
