4. Statutory preparation period

Once contracts have been signed, the contractor has a contractual deadline to submit his site preparation file to the project manager.

Regulations are clear on this subject, defining the obligations of the client, the prime contractor and the contractors during this period.

This preparation time is :

  • for public contracts, defined by the SCC or GCC, of two months (article 28);

  • for private contracts, defined by the SCC or the standard NF P03 0001 of three months (article 10). However, this period can be reduced to one incompressible month if the parties agree.
