The ten-year warranty is a reassuring element for the owner. Simple to put in place at first glance, it often requires a lengthy and costly legal act.
4.1 Builders' liability
Decennial liability is at the heart of builders' liability. Its scope has broadened over time, making it the common law of builders' liability. It is worth noting, however, that decennial liability can only be used a priori to repair damage of a certain seriousness caused to a structure.
