6. Tile roof maintenance
Although tiles can be used to create long-lasting roofs, regular maintenance is an essential part of the construction process.
The DTUs specify the "obligations" of building owners, and point out that maintenance :
must be carried out by "qualified" personnel (law no. 96-603 of July 5, 1996);
remains at the owner's financial expense, even during the ten-year warranty period for the roofing work.
Failure to have the professional qualifications required to exercise certain professions may result in criminal sanctions.
