Clay tile roofing is very common in France, with a long history that highlights the various architectural eras.

More recent cement tiles satisfy other types of constraints and parameters. Generally speaking, however, given that there are also glass tiles, solar tiles, etc., we consider that it is above all its function – and not its material – that defines what a tile really is!
