3. Siding classification
Light-colored concretes can be classified according to the desired surface appearance (rough or treated), the desired shade (gray, light, white or colored), and whether appearance and color are crossed choices.
3.1 Types of cladding
The facing is the skin of the concrete, independent of any surface treatment.
For raw concrete, facing is the appearance of the concrete after stripping or demolding.
In the case of treated concrete, the facing is modified to a greater or lesser extent by a subsequent operation designed to reveal the internal texture of the concrete (appearance of some or all of the concrete's constituents).
