8. Connection to the sewage network
Consumers must carefully check the levels:
the house connection outlet must be higher than the network tap;
the rules of the Art impose a 3% slope on wastewater sections.
When creating a house connection, make sure there are no 90° elbows; the ideal is a direct connection, i.e. without elbows and with a satisfactory slope.
The cost of connection is shared between the owner and the municipality. The owner is responsible for all work required to bring the wastewater to the public network and for decommissioning the old septic tank.
If the home is located in a sanitation zone, it is mandatory to connect to the network when the house is built. If the building is equipped with an individual sanitation system and the commune or agglomeration...
