3.1 French Standards Association (AFNOR)

The Association française de normalisation (AFNOR) is the French organization that represents France at the International Organization for Standardization and the European Committee for Standardization. Since 1 ^er January 2014, following the merger of AFNOR and the Union technique de l'électricité (UTE), it has also been a member of the European Committee for Standardization in Electronics and Electrotechnics (CENELEC) at European level, and of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) at international level.
