1. Areas of application and non-application of the standard

1.1 General areas of application of the standard

Standard NF P 01-012 applies to the following areas:

• railings and banisters (fixed, escalators and, by extension, horizontal or inclined moving walkways);

• buildings :

  • housing,

  • office space,

  • commercial,

  • schools,

  • industrial and agricultural buildings (premises accessible to the public) and their surroundings;

• other establishments open to the public ERP and their surroundings.
