Spray casting; melt spinning

Direct metal-jet wheel casting technique for ultra-fast cooling, used for small-width ribbons (1 to 2 mm).

Planar flow casting method

Direct wheel casting technique through a slit nozzle used for large-width ribbons.

Supermalloy

Nickel-, iron- and molybdenum-based alloy with very high permeability.

Eutectic; eutectic

An alloy that melts and crystallizes homogeneously, without the liquid and crystalline phases co-existing. In a given binary system, the eutectic corresponds to a singular composition.
