4.1 Climatic factors

  • Maximum permissible operating temperatures at the windings are defined by the insulation class of the insulating materials used, so it's easy to see how ambient temperature can influence the design of the machine or its field of application: in a high ambient temperature, for the same final temperature, operating power will be lower.
