5. Conclusion

First of all, let's not forget that in electrical engineering in particular, any energy manipulation has consequences for the environment. We can't eliminate these consequences, but we must reduce them to a strict minimum to ensure the service we provide.

Long considered as natural and obvious solutions for reducing our environmental impact (energy efficiency tools, renewable energy development devices), electrical engineering devices, particularly mass-produced ones, are no less sources of pollution and environmental impact. Today, they must play their part in reducing these impacts at every stage of their life cycle.

The eco-design of electrical systems is still in its infancy, and the work being done today is mainly focused on materials recovery and energy efficiency. But we need to move beyond this by adopting strategies to be deployed...
