1. Taking account of source imperfections

1.1 General

The article has been used to synthesize the main thyristor switch structures. The method used consists in modeling the input and output electrical networks by perfect current and voltage sources:

  • On the AC side, the converter sees a perfect sinusoidal AC voltage source, either single-phase or three-phase;

  • on the DC side, the converter sees a perfect DC source, reversible in voltage and unidirectional in current.
