3. Conclusion

Main topic of this article was turned toward the computation of EM fields coupled to a TEM mode within a coaxial cavity. For convenience, the EM coupling was achieved by means of a RF source feeding a small loop antenna (or monopole antenna). In practice, such theoretical approach may be transposed to the computation of field amplitude in other cavity, like aircraft fuselage, in order to solve certain problems of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). In any other way, computation of EM field as explored in this Part I, may be also applied to the measurement methodology as used in EMC. It’s especially the case with the so-called TEM cells, which produce a TEM mode generated through a wide frequency range to perform emission test of electronic equipment or submit it to a specified EM constraint.
