6. Spheroidization of particles

Generally speaking, the industry's requirements for spherical particles are as follows:

  • improved flowability for smooth flow without clogging or irregular operation of powder feeders;

  • increased raw density for sintering ;

  • removal of hollow or fractured particles;

  • smoother particle surfaces to reduce wear on conveying pipes and thus pollution of the deposit or frit material;

  • improved purity through selective vaporization/reaction.
