2. Bandwidth

For fast switching measurements, we need a measuring instrument with a high bandwidth. To track a signal with a rise time ( t r ), we are limited by the maximum rise time allowed by the meter ( t m ) and the slew rate of the input amplifiers. As a result, the rise time restored at the output of the meter ( t s ) is greater than t r . The relationship between these times is given by : ts2=tr2+tm2
