1.1 Remote operations

The Linky meter enables a number of services to be carried out remotely. These include meter reading, which used to be carried out by appointment twice a year. From now on, billing can be based on actual consumption, transmitted monthly by Enedis to energy suppliers.

Other operations can be carried out remotely, such as :

• commissioning in homes where the electricity has been cut off;

• power changes ;

• tariff changes.
