2. Uninterrupted power protection

2.1 General Information

These measures involve taking steps to eliminate any danger, either by making contact with conductors safe or by preventing simultaneous contact with parts that could present a dangerous touch voltage. They generally do not require a protective conductor or an automatic disconnecting device.

In practice, the application of these measures is limited to individual devices or localized equipment. Some are required in situations where the risks are particularly high, as supplementary measures to automatic shutdown systems covering the entire facility.
