3. Costs to be covered by regulated tariffs

  • Price breakdown

    Tariffs are revenues that are intended to cover the costs generated by :

    • transport (transmission and distribution): i.e. the cost of transporting electricity (on the RTE network, which generally has a voltage of over 63 kV) and distributing it (on a network with a voltage of less than 63 kV), plus a number of other services, such as meter changeover;

    • the "contribution tarifaire sur l'acheminement" (CTA) ;

    • marketing and customer management; i.e. costs generated by public information and contract management, promotion of energy efficiency or energy saving certificates, etc. ;

    • production costs: fuel, operating and investment/dismantling costs for power plants.
