8. Handling a voltage fluctuation problem

Here we give some pointers on how to deal with a flicker problem, with the aim of obtaining a diagnosis and a solution.

8.1 Diagnosis

The main diagnostic steps are as follows:

  • identifying disruptors ;

  • calculation of the emission of each disturbance at the common coupling point ;

  • determining compatibility with recommendations ;

  • identification of loads causing disturbances ;

  • study of the effectiveness of each solution ;

  • prioritization of solutions in order of effectiveness.
