FPGA; Field Programmable Gate Array

Integrated circuit designed to be reprogrammed by the user after manufacture.

ASIC; Application Specific Integrated Circuit

Specialized integrated circuit.

Reflectometry

Method of electrically characterizing the state of a network.

Reflectogram

Plot the signal reflected by a network of cables as a function of time or distance.

Characteristic impedance

Impedance that could be measured at the terminals of a transmission line if it had an infinite length.
