9. Conclusion

Electromagnetic compatibility is not a fundamental science, in the sense that it re-exploits the achievements of the sciences of electromagnetism, semiconductors, electrophysiology, plasma physics and so on. Its scope is vast, given that electronics is increasingly integrated into everything that makes up our environment. In this article, we have recalled the notions that we felt were most essential, while taking care to tackle subjects that may be recent but will become increasingly topical, such as the emission of integrated circuits or the effects of ionizing radiation. We hope that this scan will meet most needs, providing the basic material to tackle the following articles, of course, but also other problems which may arise for the reader and which are not detailed in this collection.
