1. Non-linear analysis

Even for experienced engineers working in fully-equipped laboratories, the design of microwave circuits, and in particular the power amplifiers at the heart of all systems, still represents a significant challenge. These are characterized by their non-linear behavior as a function of the power of the excitation signal.

Today, the "Try and Cut" technique is still widely used. This consists of having several prototypes produced, then, depending on the performance delivered by each element, technological choices are made during the various iterations to progressively build the circuit offering optimum performance.
