1.1 Ohmic value

Resistors are passive components (as opposed to active transistors, integrated circuits, etc.) characterized by the deposition of a resistive element on a suitable substrate. This resistive deposit can be a wire, a metal layer, a metal foil, etc.

The ohmic value is defined by the following formula :
