7. Conclusion

This document has attempted to present as exhaustively as possible the amplification processes used in the field of RF power. The diversity of applications, as well as the breadth of the frequency range, have made it necessary to select the performance criteria for the various processes. Whatever the application, efficiency is the designer's primary concern, either for economic reasons of operating cost for high-power systems, or to satisfy autonomy considerations in the case of battery-powered portable systems.
