2. Filter synthesis methods

The hardware realization of a filter meeting a set of specifications can take very different forms, depending on the frequency range of the signals, the quality of the expected performance, the price, the available technologies, etc. (see article Filtering and electrical filters. Foreword [E 110] ). However, the methods leading to realization are all the same and are summarized in figure 4 .
