4. LAPS (UAV and VTOL)
4.1 Definitions
This chapter is dedicated to civil UAV projects, mainly used for mobile telecommunications at altitudes below 1,500 m (LAPS).
Drones" or UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) are unmanned aerial vehicles or small seaplanes. They are equipped with a remote control system. To power their propulsion and communications, most UAVs have an electrical energy source of sufficient capacity to fly the planned route and take off and land in vertical mode (e-VTOL).
