3. Modulation in DSL

Modulation techniques play an important role in DSL technologies. There are several types of modulation:

  • amplitude modulation ;

  • frequency modulation ;

  • phase modulation.

The interested reader can refer to table 1 , which summarizes the modulations used by the various standardized DSL technologies.
