4. Antiviral filtering

With the democratization of the Internet, it's becoming increasingly common for users to pick up a virus in the course of an innocuous download. It is therefore crucial to have anti-virus software on workstations, but it is also possible and even recommended to have anti-virus filtering at network level too, both as a complementary solution and to compensate for the existence of machines that are poorly or not at all protected against this threat. Squid, like any self-respecting proxy, is able to offer such a function thanks to its flexible interface with third-party software.
