1.1 General principles of Indoor PLC technologies

Indoor" PLC technologies use a home's low-voltage electrical installation to transmit information to various devices sharing the same "private" electrical network. This is located downstream of the electricity meter. Indoor PLC technologies therefore benefit from a wide deployment spectrum, since they can be used on standard or three-phase electrical installations in homes, businesses, public buildings, factories, etc., and are not subject to any regulations specific to the electrical network. Indoor PLC technologies have the advantage of being able to use existing electrical infrastructure.
