3. LTE signal characteristics

3.1 Frequency band and duplexing

The LTE system can be deployed on a large number of frequency bands, as shown in the table 1 . Some bands are "paired", i.e. they contain two blocks at least a few MHz apart (the distance depends on the frequency range, and is generally greater the higher the frequency).
