6. BGP automation for DC

The process of configuring and activating BGP has the following disadvantages:

  • need to configure all BGP peers explicitly to prepare for the establishment of BGP sessions ;

  • need for an AS number to accept a BGP connection ;

  • no mechanism for automatically establishing BGP sessions ;

  • no mechanism to harmonize the configuration of BGP session parameters within a domain.
