3.1 New legal concept of Space

Since 1962, the United Nations has had a secretariat, UNOOSA (United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs), responsible for promoting international cooperation in the peaceful use and exploration of outer space, and in the use of space science and technology, within the framework of sustainable economic and social development.
