9. Conclusions

This article shows the differences between solutions for end-to-end resource reservation. We have observed that standardization groups are converging for NGNs towards the deployment of a RAC architecture that can seamlessly interoperate with other networks, and the implementation of global services that will not take into account the location of the user or the access network.

Users subscribe to services that can be viewed on different devices with a common look and feel. The end-to-end QoS solution for network convergence requires common agreement on parameters and objectives. A key solution is interoperability between RACs.
