The application of innovative technologies to industry is a complex process, different every time. Often starting with fundamental research, which provides the foundations for initial development, this process passes through a more or less lengthy period of validation and assimilation before gradually integrating industrial cycles. In the context of new information and communication technologies (NICT), it is also a question of demonstrating to industrial players that IT tools offer real added value to their business. While this may seem trivial in the case of design office engineers, the problem is quite different when it comes to professions that require a high degree of manual expertise.
