  • DRM barriers and limitations

    Distributors must already have in place and implemented a media management system, in order to generate the metadata, formatting and containerization required by DRM. In addition, DRM technology itself is complex. Procedures and processes are more restrictive than content providers may believe. Standardization is far from complete, and proprietary systems are incompatible with each other. The considerations of authors-producers-distributors must no longer boil down to a demonization of peer-to-peer networks and consumers. Consumers must be attracted and seduced. It's all about putting in place global, multi-level solutions that both secure intellectual property and serve the interests of consumers... who are the ones who pay!
