4. Conclusion

This dossier has focused on the intrinsic parameters of a media server. But the total value of a server is a balance of these values relative to the product, with extrinsic values relative to the vendor, as illustrated by the "Calder mobile" in figure 33 . Certainly seen from the vendor's side, the product's professional credentials, financial stability and service and support are key elements in making a purchasing decision. On the other hand, the right-hand side shows aspects relating to the functionality and parameters of the physical server.
