The late 2010s saw the emergence of neural processors. ARM's Ethos N37, N57, N77 (October 2019) and Ethos N78 (May 2020) are a good example. Recent years have also seen the emergence of NPUs as PC gas pedals, alongside CPUs and other gas pedals.
