1. Internet evolution
The Arpanet network (late 1960s) and its coupling with other data sources using the TCP/IP protocol gave rise to the Internet, which only came into its own in the late 1980s with the invention of the WEB. The evolution of the Internet can be summarized in the diagram 1 . The various phases, referred to as the Internet of content, the Internet of services and the social Internet, are characterized by machine-to-machine communication, even if we have moved on from communication between computers to communication between a very wide variety of computers or electronic components (servers, PCs, tablets, smartphones, etc.). Communication between humans or services for humans are carried out through these machines or components.
