2.1 Operating mode

A connection (N) is an association established to enable communication between at least two entities (N+1) identified by their address (N). A connection (N) is a service offered by layer (N), enabling the exchange of information between entities (N+1) .

A connection (N) has at least two connection ends (N). These associate three elements as shown in figure
